Every quality sweep — the 7-check audit, the 130-stub blitz, the design tokens alignment — added checks, adjusted thresholds, bolted on edge cases. The result was a validator that worked but couldn't be reasoned about. Nobody could tell you exactly what "valid" meant without reading 400 lines of conditional logic.
